Gail most recently held the position as the ANZ country manager for the Asset Management division of IBM’s outsourcing organisation providing services to their services client portfolio.. Gail was responsible for leading a team of approx 100 staff across Australia, New Zealand and China implementing a continuous process improvement program whilst meeting cost. audit risk and customer service challenged of delivering order management, hardware management, software tracking and license management, maintenance and end of life of IT assets against customer contract, internal policy requirements and financial constraints. In addition Gail was also responsible for managing and reporting to senior management on multiple projects and BAU status including monthly financials (budget to actual) and the development and costing of new business cases. Gail’s successful leadership and management skills (including change management and continued process improvement) were recognised by the organisation as a recipient of the Global CEO’ leadership award in 2009 and 2011.
Prior to her most recent position, Gail also held the position of Compliance, Process and Metrics manager again for IBM’s Asset Management division across Asia Pacific where she was part of the Global team working with stakeholders across the broader organisation to develop the division’s Global Best Practices and Processes and formulate Global standards and policies (including the development of global metrics and reporting scorecard) associated with those processes and practices and the identification and remediation of process gaps at a regional (Asia Pacific) and country level. She was also part of the team to implement Lean Six Sigma across the ANZ Asset Management process.
Whilst at IBM Gail was also responsible for the development and deployment of IBM’s internal Sarbarnes Oxley solution as required by the NY Stock Exchange across the ANZ business, in addition to developing and reviewing cost and revenue models for the outsourcing organisation to facilitate improved business forecasting.
Prior to her career at IBM Gail held positions at City of Sydney council as a strategic planner and change manager for the merger of South Sydney and City of Sydney councils, KPMG as a small business consultant, PWC in their audit division and as the principal consultant in her business consultancy practice where she specialised business advisory to the small to medium business market leveraging on her wealth of knowledge and business experience.
